Dallas Willard used to say, “I have found God’s address. It’s at the end of my rope.”
One day our ability to do life on our own will become impossible, and we’ll finally admit we need help. Whether we are a person like Matthew in Scripture, collecting taxes and making enemies of our friends, or like the thief on the cross, hanging on to life by the nails inflicted by others, Jesus is ready to be with us.
Wouldn’t it be great just to take a deep breath and realize, really realize, that Jesus is always just an “ask” away? Abundant life is so close……..but you must stop pretending everything is all right.
If you are looking for a church where it’s ok to stop pretending your life is great, we look forward to seeing you.
